AKSHAYA + ADITYA

I met Akshaya for the first time at 9 am on a Tuesday morning at Ratna Cafe for breakfast. There she stood in her freshly coffee stained dress sipping her second cup of coffee because clearly she’d spilt the first one on herself. Obviously, neither of us acted our age, so we burst out laughing and over the next few hours and over many idlis and vadais and more coffee we spoke about everything.
We even discussed Aditya and the wedding for a bit.

Cut to three months later, it was D-Day. I say this often to the couples I shoot - to be shameless. To not be afraid to embarrass yourself a bit. But I suspect Akshaya and Adi would’ve been any different
had I not told them that. What you’ll see are unhinged emotions, dramatic laughs and a very extra but original Akshaya and Adi, thoroughly enjoying their wedding.

Somewhere along all the joy and happiness we witnessed around these two, Adi looked at Akshaya and went, “Hey, I haven’t seen this smile before” and I thought to myself how precious it must be to have someone notice the way you smile after years of knowing you :)
