ADITI + GIUSEPPE

Every now and then I shoot a wedding and just know, for certain, that these pictures are going to be my favourites for a long time. This was that.

I met Aditi, her father and Giuseppe for the first time many months before the wedding to finalise the deets. Uncle sat quietly for the most part and observed everything, asked a few questions and that was it. The second time I met them was at the Mehendi, he was obviously a lot more excited, called me aside and told me that I reminded him of Aditi, maybe its because of the way we both spoke - at the speed of 90 words per minute.

Over the next few days I got to witness the relationship Aditi, her sister and their father shared which was truly special. He was their biggest cheerleader and they were his. The more I saw of uncle, the more I understood where Aditi got her big heart and endless warmth from. Somewhere along the Cocktail night where Aditi must’ve broken into tears at least 20 different times, she sat between her father and Giuseppe both holding her hands and reassuring her without speaking a word. I may have cried a bit here myself because I’m a sucker for moments like these.

When I look back at these pictures now I think love is a place where one feels rested.
